The Itinerary

We are turning the wedding into a full Italian tour. Starting with pure relaxation in the Tuscan vineyards, moving north early to catch up with the couple in Bellagio, and culminating with the main event at the historic Palazzo Gallio.

1. Tuscany (Val d'Orcia)

We land in Rome and drive straight to the countryside. We are skipping the city crowds of Florence to focus entirely on the vineyards and cypress-lined hills.

2. Bellagio & The Couple

We head north a day early to maximize lake time. We'll meet up with Ryane & Jim for early drinks and spend three days exploring the "Pearl of the Lake."

The main event at Palazzo Gallio in Gravedona. A massive 16th-century fortress-palace right on the water's edge.

4. Lake Day with Ryane & Jim

A relaxed Lake Como recovery day with the couple: swims, slow ferry rides, gelato, and a casual group lunch.

Route back toward Milan
Travel Home • Aug 9

5. Departure Day

Pack up, ferry or drive back toward Milan, and catch return flights. Time for one last espresso before wheels up.

  • Options: ferry + train, or direct car to MXP
  • Aim for extra time at Malpensa for duty-free snacks

Good to Know

Power Plugs

Italy uses Type L (three pins in a row) or Type F (two round pins). Voltage is 230V. Don't plug in US hair dryers!

Tipping & Coperto

Tipping isn't mandatory. A "Coperto" (cover charge) of €2-3 per person is standard. Rounding up the bill is appreciated.

Trains

We will use Italo or Trenitalia. Always validate paper tickets in the green machines before boarding to avoid fines.

Attire

Cobblestones are everywhere—leave the stilettos at home. Bring layers for the lake breeze at night.
